that once upon a time a demon called Tripasur had gained a lot of prosperity
that all the gods had been left defeated and the gods that felt crippled and
handicapped turned to Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva had become emotional as he had no
choice left but use a harmful weapon to kill the demon and the emotional tear
which fell on earth was developed and known to be Rudraksha. As each bead is
differently formed and shaped. It signifies unity Lord Shiva and Goddess
Parvati.
According to another text from history it is said that once
upon a time Goddess Parvati asked Lord Shiva how and where did the holy rudhraksha
was formed? Upon asking this question Lord Shiva replied he had done penance
for a several years and he had kept his eyes closed during that duration. Post
which when he opened his eyes he a few teardrops fell from his eyes and the
Rudharkasha tree was born. Later on the seeds of the same tree were distributed
on Earth and that’s how the holy bead rudharksha was formed.
